WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CATTERY AND A CATIO?
If you're considering an outdoor space for your cat, you may have come across the terms Cattery and Catio, but what exactly is the difference?
CATTERYA Cattery is typically a larger structure designed to house cats year round. These are used for boarding, breeding and rescue centre purposes as well as some private owners with multiple cats.
Catteries provide a fully enclosed, secure, sheltered environment where cats can live for extended periods. They have individual fully insulated, heated sleeping areas for year round comfort and exercise areas. Cattery dimensions and specifications must comply with DEFRA’s strict regulations set out in The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations which can be downloaded from here VIEW OUR RANGE OF HAND MADE CATTERIES |
